With word XP Pro, underlines print on many documents the
first time the doc is printed. print the doc again, and
underlines usually don't print. there are no underlines in
the docs. many times, it's just the first page that gets
underlines printing. running on a win2k server networked
printer with an hp laserjet 4200. just changed to a new
server and it still happens. any ideas?

This is more likely a printer driver problem than anything in Word.

However, it ONLY happens in word. Not any other
application. When I changed to a new server, I loaded the
lastest printer driver from HP. Still, the problem
persists.

Thanks for your reply.
