I recently upgraded to a new computer the had windows xp
pre-installed. The problem is that I have a microsoft
works 2000 disc that I can't seem to get to work properly.
I really only need microsoft word, as I don't have much
use for the other programs. When I enter the 1st disc, I
go to custom installation, and select microsoft word. It
starts to download the program, but then comes up with an
error that says it needs the mpg4c23.dll file to
continue. I have no idea what that file is, and wonder if
I shouldn't just try to install the complete set, and
delete manually? Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Shawn

Try using Setup found in the Word folder on the installation disk
instead.
