Running XP Home Edition, Word 2003, part of Office 2003.
Copy function does work, that is the copied text shows the
copied text on the clipboard.

Copy-Paste function does work within WORD, but not from
internet document to WORD document.

This is a new problem, though in the previous week
the "paste" function has taken longer than previous
(aggravatingly long time) to work.

Today, no paste at all and all WORD functions
except "close" (on the tool bar, right click) cease to
function.

"Paste" has always worked like a breeze, on any WORD
programs I ever had or used, until the slowdown about a
week ago. And now, ceases to complete the "paste" function
at all.

I've rebooted, and/or unplugged, and shut down only WORD,
instead of re-starting the computer. Nothing has solved
the problem, even though multiples of the aforementioned
have been tried. Any advice much appreciated.

Could this be an activation issue? Choose Help - Activate Product, and see
if Word needs to be activated. Without activation, Word/Office 2003 goes
into reduced functionality mode after about 50 uses.

Thanks Herb. But, I checked "activate product," --response
says "this product has already been activated." Your reply
appreciated, but unless I am unaware of some subtlety, it
is not the source.
