Hi,
I have the following in a document header / footer or if I try to insert
autotext anywhere in the document
 AUTHOR  Page  PAGE   DATE

This is another try in the footer:

{DATE\@M/d/yyyy} FILENAME \p

The date prints fine "1/26/2006" but the file name and path prints "
FILENAME \p "

Thanks a lot

Paul

Looks like your field braces have become converted to unreadable characters
(if this is what you see when you press Alt+F9). This suggests that the
document is corrupt. If the option is available, try using Open and Repair;
otherwise, see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/CorruptDoc.htm.
