I have a user that somehow saved a letter as the default template and now
everytime he starts a new document it is the letter.
I searched his computer for normal.dot to replace it with a blank doc but it
isn't on his computer.

How do I fix this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Rob

In recent versions of Word, the normal.dot file is a hidden, so you have
to include hidden and system files/folders in your search options. In
Word, click on Tools | Options | File Locations, and look at the folder
specified for User Templates... that is where the normal.dot file should
be. See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm. for
more info.
