Toggling off "Check spelling/grammar as you type" will have no effect on the
way the document is viewed by a recipient using a different copy of Word.
Nor is it usually possible to totally satisfy Word's spelling/grammar
checker (even if you add words to the dictionary, they won't be in the
recipient's dictionary). The solution is instead to check the boxes for
"Hide spelling/grammar errors in this document," which should be found in
the same place.
