Word 2003 won't open ANYTHING!

Just upgraded to Word 2003. Now I can not open any Word
docs (even ones I create from scratch in the new version
of Word and save... it won't open even those!). Error
states: "The file [name] is not available." Any advice on
how to fix this?

Hi John,

In Norton AV go to Norton Options and in the Miscellaneous section
turn off "Enable Office Plug-in".

I have the exact same problem that has been driving me
crazy for 2 days. If you find out anything could you let
me know?

Please see Beth Melton's previous reply to this question and note that it is
*not* necessary to post your question more than once. It will not increase
your chances of getting an answer; in fact, it will probably decrease them
because it makes you seem impatient and demanding, which annoys the people
most likely to know the answer.
