I have Word 2000 on my Gateway desktop. Just a few days
ago, Word began to have problems in opening. The Initial
Word box shows up, but the document format window never
opens to allow you to create a document. After waiting
several minutes, the only way to get out is to hit Ctrl-
Alt-Delete. Then the following message box shows up:

"The system is dangerously low in resources! Would you
like to terminate the following applications? Winword
(not responding)"

When I click "Yes", the box closes. However, from that
point on, whenever I try to open anything, a similar
message appears. I then have to reboot the system to get
it to work again. After rebooting, as long as I do not
try to open Word, the computer works perfectly.

I have deleted and reinstalled Word from the CD that came
with the system, but no change was noticed.

Any similar problem out there with a probable
solution??????

Thanks, Mark Bukowski
