Whenever I try to open a Word document for the first time after starting or
restarting the computer (Mini Mac, OS 10.4.10), Word unexpectedly quits. It
happens whether I double click on the document, drag the document to the Word
icon in the dock or use command-open from within the application. Once I
reboot Word, things are fine. This is, of course, not fatal, but it sure is
annoying and time consuiming. Any ideas of what's causing it? Or, more
impoirtantly, how to prevent it?
