Word dont work

I had to clean up my hard drive and reinstall with recovery disk. Then I installed Windows XP. Now I do not have any of the programs associated with Word. All I get is WORKs. How do I get the Word and associated files back

Did you install Word? Did Word come preinstalled on your computer?
