Word 2007 constantly crashes

Gradually, I noticed that Word 2007 would crash and restart. Recenlty it bgan
crahing frequently, to the point to where a message screen appeared
suggesting that Word be repaired. I inserted the disc and went through the
repair function. Nothing changed,

I cannot open a document without going through the Word file menu. I cannot
edit without using my keyboard arrows to move the cursor; no copy, cut or
paste functions. I've made sure I have the latest SP and patches.

Any help out there?

Such problems usually occur because of a:

1. Misbehaving add-in.

2. Corrupted Normal.dotm.

3. Corrupted registry entry (usually the Data key).
