    - EQUATION EDITOR ERROR MESSAGE I have an existing document that was saved to an electronic document management system. A change was made to the document, one equation was contained in the document. The change did not affect the equation, nor were their any changes on the page the equation was on. When the document was saved and printed the equation did not print only a blank box, when you edit the document and look at the equation a message appears that states "There is not enough memory or disk space to display or print this picture".     - Word Document Completely Disappears From My Computer I use Microsoft Word 2003. I've had a document I've been using to make weekly entries since March, so I had saved the document every week without problems. Today after I finished writing, I clicked on the save icon and it brought up a box that said something like "WR.....~" can't be saved, which I believe was the .TMP file. The document wouldn't let me do anything else, so I clicked "Retry" a few times, but that didn't help anything, so I clicked on the only other box which was "Cancel." When I clicked cancel, microsoft word closed completely and the original file and temp file are completely gone from my harddrive. It's not in the trash, it doesn't show up in the recovery management box, and I've searched for it. I've never encountered anything like this, so I just wondered if anyone else knows the cause to prevent it from ever happening again, and of course to see if there's some way to find the file.     - Word opening, saving, configuration Sometimes Word 2007 stops giving me the option to open a new file, save a current file that is being worked one, and in order to do so, I have to close and then reopen Word.     - Page scrolling in Word 2007 When I reach the bottom of a page, Word typically scrolls down only one line at a time, so I am constantly typing/reading at the bottom of the page. At other times, the page view will abruptly shift a couple of paragraphs up, although I can continue typing below the visible screen. I have to use the scroll bars to go down to where I have been typing. Is it my imagination, or did not older Word versions jump to a whole new page when the bottom was reached? How can I fix this?     - MODI in Korean (or nonEnglish) throws exception I created a Word document with some Korean words and printed it tif file using Word... My C# testing app throws an exception [[OCR: bad language]] at [[myDocument.OCR(lang, true, true);]] line. This doesn't happen when lang = MODI.MiLANGUAGES.miLANG_ENGLISH, but when lang = MODI.MiLANGUAGES.miLANG_KOREAN or anything else, then the exception occurs. When I open the tif file using MS Office Document Imaging, and try to do OCR, it treats it as English. When I try the option to set the language to Korean, it only shows option for English, French and Spanish. I have the Korean Language pack installed. Anyone out there know what I'm doing wrong? I believe I accidentally hit a particular key or series of keys on my keyboard once, and suddenly the ribbon and everything under the tabs (i.e. "Home", "Insert", "Page Layout", etc.) on the top menu thing are not working. I can't even change the size or type of font I'm using! I am totally lost, and JUST got the insperation I've been waiting for to continue with a story I'm writing, so quick help from anyone who knows how to solve this problem would be eternally gracious.     - Could not open "http........doc" displaying doc in browser Hi everyone, I have a browser app that displays MS Office objects and works fine when the Browse in same window folder option setting for the file type .doc is set properly. I have one client that uses Win 2000, IE 6 and Office 2003 and am getting unusual behavior. The browse in same window option is selected for the .DOC filetype and it does appear properly within the browser window. The problem is that it also tries to open up Word and throws the following error dialog: Could not open "http........doc" I have not been able to replicate that in a similar environment.     - Word Crashes on Open with a Specific Plug-in Hello, I am having one of the standard problems where Word crashes immediately after opening. I have run through all of the troubleshooting steps outlined in earlier posts and FAQs. So far none of the solutions have corrected my problem. I am posting this to see if anyone has any other ideas.... Problem involves Microsoft Word 2003 and a software called LiveLink Explorer. The LiveLink Explorer is a plugin which allows Word to access the LiveLink content management system and save files to/from it. It adds a button toolbar and a menu. Here is what is happening.... Word will crash immediately after launching if the LL Explorer plugin is installed before Word is launched for the first time under any user profile. If I launch Word under a new profile, and then install the plugin, and then relaunch word, everything works great. it will continue to work great under that login. If I install the plugin, then login for the first time as a new user, and then open Word for the first time it will open fine the first time. But... it will crash on every subsequent launch under that user profile. Deleting the normal.dot file does not correct the issue. This is kinda strange and I have not been able to figure it out. When I convert the document to an Adobe PDF and run the Field recognation it finds all however, when the checkbox in the PDF is cheched, it changes the box to solid black.     - Mouse and Tab do not work in Word 2007 but on menu I create a new Word 2007 document and it will not recognize my mouse or tab key anywhere in the word document. In order to fix the mess the template sets up with standard 12 point spacing I have to use the up arrow, hold down the shift key and use the down arrow to highlight. Then "using the mouse on the menu" I can change the font spacing.... The mouse does now work for right click either.... A lot of times Word just freezes and says searching for solution...but with all the 2007 products not one ever has a solution to its crashing or freezing....oh, and I am using Vista. The menu really needs a quick point for the user to set up their own standard settings like the font size, set up like Arial versus what comes standard....etc... When I save my document and send it to print , the Heading does not print, even though it shows in Print Preview. I have tried the following: 1. Changed print driver 2.     - word 2007 won't undo The undo option often stops working in Word 2007, with new and existing documents. Ctrl-Z doesn't work and the undo button is greyed out.     - Ghost Figures appear when I check my Cross-Reference list Hi I'm using Word 2003 with an XP pro machine, and I have the strangest thing going on. I'm working on a chapter of my thesis, and I was trying to figure out why my figure 2-3 was being labeled as 2-4 in the caption, even when I waas trying to "update field". When I perform "Insert- Reference- Cross Reference" however, I see that there are indeed two tables which neither belong to this chapter, nor have they ever been entered into this chapter, as figures 2-3 and 2-5. I have tried everything i can think of to try to rid myself of the offending "references" but I can't find them. There are two files here Normal dotm and Email dotm I managed to delete the email dotm but the normal keeps comming back after deleting it. I tested it and the first word doc that I open is normal without the dialog message the second doc I opem gives me the dialog message by this point the normal dotm has re-appeared after deleting it I have confirmed this by looking in the folder. If someone can tell me how to get rid of this file for good my problem is solved. I am sure. I do not know how??????????????? Update When I turn off my user account control setting as administrator I am able to delete the template perminantly and fixes the issue but when I turn it back on my issue comes back. Anyone??     - document gone I was just working on something for four hours in Microsoft 2007. I saved repeatedly because it is so important. When I saved it the last time, the program froze. I had to end the program, thinking I'd get my document back without the few last changes I had made. But now, when I go to open it, it says it cannot be located. It is really so strange.I have search the communities and understand that many people have the same problems and it is like a bug and nobody gives an answer.Does microsoft do something about that?     - Cut, Copy, Paste unavailable Using word 2007 anytime I select text and right click, my cut, copy and paste options are greyed out. If I select them using the toolbar they work, and it is only word having this problem, not excel, outlook, etc... I tried holding ctrl when starting up (safe mode) and the options are available when I do this. The only add-in that shows up in Word is PPC e-tools.     - Word 2000 freezes upon opening I have had Word 2000 for a long time and it was working fine. i think it stopped working shortly after I updated to SP3, but I could be off. It won't open. It freezes. If i try opening it with winword.exe /a it works fine (as suggested on the help site that you guys list frequently). I looked for normal.dot, there is nothing in my computer. I had deleted it previously. I found the startup path (another help that was listed to try)but there isn't anything in that folder. I don't have Norton Antivirus I have Trendmicro.     - Word and Excel cannot open files - application hangs I am experiencing a problem I do not understand. This applies to Word 2007 and Excel 2007, running on Windows XP. windows and Office are up-to-date, with all security patches applied. With Word Open, If I try to open a file (Office Button, <open>), I receive an hourglass that sits until I close Word with the Task Manager. No dialog box, nothing - just an hourglass that waits. I have the same problem with Excel 2007. However, If I use Windows Explorer to find a file, and double click on the filename with Word not open, Word will start and open the file. The system is clean - no viruses, malware, etc. Any thoughts? Word 2007 frequently shows an error message when I open a document that
informs me "Office has encountered a problem and needs to close".
It then closes and tells me it's trying to recover my information.
Subsequently, every time I try to open that document I get the same message.
Has anyone else experienced this and what's the solution?
