In preparing my annual Christmas letter I discovered I am unable to insert
digital pictures from my new Nikon D50 camera into my Word 2002 document. I
only get a blank box with a small red X in the corner. I have not had this
problem with previous cameras. Interestingly enough, I tried the same
activity on my Works word processing program and the same pictures appeared
with no problems. The files are Jpeg format and are identified as DSC-0001,
DSC-0002, etc.

Have you installed all the servicepacks for WordXP? This is a known bug that
was resolved.

I have automatic updates for Microsoft so I assume I am up to date. I will
check to make sure. Thank you for your response.
