Retrieve unsaved Word document

Is there a way to retrieve an unsaved word document?

I typed mailing lists for two hours, and clicked close
instead of save!

In word - look under Tools - Save - and see if you have
autorecovery checked and what amount of time. Then do a
search - Right Click on Start and click on Search. Type
in a string that was in your document.

AutoRecovery backups are deleted when the document is closed.

Hi Trish,

Where you prompted to save changes to the document when you clicked
the Close command?

Unfortunately you just learned a very valuable lesson. You should save
frequently and save often.

When the application asks you for confirmation, such as "Do you want
to save changes" and you answer "No" then Word will do exactly what
you tell it to do and all modifications will be erased from memory.
