Problems with hyperlinks - help needed.

I've done something, but I don't know what such that when I open a doc
containing hyperlinks I see

{ HYPERLINK "blahblahblah2" }

as opposed to the underlined clickable link I used to see.

I know this is probably a toggle somewhere in Tools > Options, but where?

P.S. If I park select the link the problem resolves itself.

Select the link, F9, does this refresh the link and the field changes to the
link?
The field could be locked, try CTRL+SHIFT+F11 and then refresh.

You have probably got View Fieldcode option enable: what you are seeing is
the fieldcode rather than the link.

Press Alt+F9 to toggle the view from field codes (what you're seeing) to
field results. Alternatively, clear the check box for "Field codes" on the
View tab of Tools | Options.
