Hello D. Harris,
I am not entirely sure what version of Word you are using; I am assuming
Word XP or 2003. This process changed because we no longer install Twain
software when installing Microsoft Office applications, we rely on the
software that is installed by your scanner manufacturer. Here are links to
the articles that explain the process available for scanning directly into
Word.
These options work but the most reliable and suggested way to get a scanned
image into a document is to scan the document using your scanner software
and then save the image to your hard drive and then use the Insert |
Picture | From File option and browse to the image.
Please let me know if this answers your question.
