    - Wish 2007 was more stable I wish so-o-o much that Microsoft had focused on product stability for this release, rather than a fancy new interface. I am in the midst of converting files from FrameMaker to Word, using RTF files. Granted there are style issues between the old Frame world and the new Word world (which I'm cleaning up on a chapter file-by-file basis), but I have now had three crashes - all in relatively small files - with a bizarre series of 3 error messages, two regarding the buildingblock.docx or similarly named template, and the final one stating: "Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk." I don't have a clue what the buildingblock.docx template is, and I'm certainly not using it.     - Lexmark 9350 Lexmark 9350 - Wireless and USB problem (tried both ways). Print jobs do not complete on VISTA via OFFICE (WORD) 2007. (If print out is more than 2 pages, this problem occurs. 1-2 page document works fine.) Detail: job starts lexmark display shows page 1 of 7 printing. 2 pages of 7 page prints lexmark display screen then clears as if job finished. One page (or 3rd in the series) is 'still' inside printer but blank. If you try to send another print job to the printer, printer then displays 'paper jam'. Which is the 3rd page described above. This seems to ONLY happen in OFFICE 2007 WORD. If i print a multiple page PDF, the job prints fine. Note, if I print the same job on a 2003 Windows Server machine with OFFICE 2003 (WORD), the print out completed correctly. Although, I ran into a similar problem (on the 2003 Server) but the job did not start (but was displayed on the Printer display), when printing an OUTLOOK 2003 email. NO pages printed. There was no way to fix the problem. Job just would not print. Job had to be canceled and printer turned off. Printed job via HP deskjet, and job was fine. Any insight would be appreciated!     - problem with vista and word 2007 After editing a word 2007 document, saving it, and closing word, the program quits fine but I always receive the same message "The program stopped workind for a problem.     - Can't open documents from Windows Explorer unless Word already ope I suddenly lost the ability to double-click a document to open it. It opens Word, w/ no document, not even a blank one. No error codes given, and nothing in system or application logs. If word is open, it works fine. If I open from within Word, fine. Not Office wide, because Excel works fine w/ a double-click. I've tried Repair, Uninstall/Reinstall, and re-registering (winword.exe /r) with no change in results.     - Word 2007 Hangs After Being Started I recently installed Microsoft Enterprise Office 2007 on my laptop and I have been problems with Microsoft Word (Excel, Powerpoint and the rest run perfectly fine). Doing anything after I start up Microsoft Word causes it to hang, including scrolling the window down or any other actions. I previously installed the same copy of Microsoft Office on my PC and it runs perfectly fine. I have tried running it by using command "winword.exe /a" but it still hangs. It shouldn't be a add-on problem because my antivirus is not Norton Antivirus. I have also tried repairing and reinstalling Microsoft Office 2007 but it still doesn't work.     - Slow Typing in Track Changes/Comments Hello, I have Office 2007 running on a Windows XP P4 PC. I've been having a problem in Word. When I use Track Changes in Print Layout view, typing becomes very slow. Ditto when I use Comments. Holding the left arrow key, for example, causes the cursor to move only intermittently. Typing in the comment is similarly slow; even when I'm typing fast, the text appears slowly on screen. If I close the file and reopen it, however, the problem goes away. Don't have time to navigate your labyrinthine universe of websites to figure out a better place to report it. I send my outlined document (in which most paragraphs are Heading styles, thus forming an outline easily edited in Outline View) to my printer, and instead of printing with the correct paragraph formatting (that is, what Print Preview shows), it prints on paper with the paragraph formatting that's SUPPOSED to be only on-screen when in outline view (single-spaced, no hanging indent, left indent set artificially based on outline level).     - Custom toolbars not saved; Adobe-related fix doesn't work Word 2003 (Pro) has stopped saving custom toolbars and toolbar locations. Every time I start it, I have to turn off the same toolbars and move them around to where I want them. The fixes that I have found, related to the Adobe 7.0 toolbar, don't work. For one thing, I have only ever had the free Reader and not full-blown Acrobat, so I've never had the toolbar installed in the first place. I had not made any changes to the software that I'm aware of, other than MS updates, before the problem started. Updating Adobe Reader itself did not resolve the problem.     - I cannot type single line format in a document. Word has taken o While typing a legal document I was using a three line separation between the end of a paragraph and the succeeding "header". After a while, word began to insert a three-line break between each paragraph irrespective of insertion of a header. At this point I cannot reset the line spacing to single line. I enter single line in the format/paragraph area, but the space between lines in the document continues to be double at the least. Also, a tiny black square now appears at the left margin of each line. I don't know what I did to bring up this black square, but I cannot delete it and I think it has something to do with my inability to control the line spacing. All of a sudden I can't do just Bold. I click on Bold and it becomes "Bold
Itilicized" automatically. I have Word 2003 and upgraded Windows XP.

In the Fonts folder, can you see "Times New Roman Bold"? If it is missing or
seems not to be working, you should be able to replace it from your Windows
or Office CD.
