    - Right click error Hi all, I am experiencing this error whereby I have to right click two times for the quick options menu to come out (cut, copy, paste etc)instead of just right clicking once.     - I can't open a Word 2000 document template with Word 2003 Can someone help me? We use word2000 templates in our company. Since we have updated some of the computers with word2003, we cant open or use some of the word2000 document templates. Word (german version) displays an error message that the computer has insufficient memory. But this is not the problem, because this error occures on every computer with word2003, I have tested. We use Office 2003 with all updates installed on windows XP (german version) with automatic updated enabled. Our virus scanner is etrust antivirus and we are using a novell network.     - Word 2007 and Office Accounting Express 2007 I am unable to export invoices to Word 2007 using Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2007. I am also unable to email invoices (I am using Outlook). I do not receive any type of error messages, nothing happens at all. When I look in Task Manager, there is a "WINWORD.EXE" process that starts, yet nothing happens. An additional "WINWORD.EXE" process will be created each time I attempt to export or email an invoice. I was able to use this functionality this with Office 2003 just fine. I installed Office 2007 and Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2007 on a new machine and imported my company from the old machine that had Office 2003 on it. I started having issues immediately. I have already tried the following steps: 1) Deleting and recreating my company 2) Uninstalling and reinstalling Microsoft Accounting Express 2007 and recreating my company from scratch I am able to modify templates in Word from the Company Manage Word Templates menu. So the issue appears to only affect the "Export to Word" and "Email" functionality. I am also able to I am able to export to Excel 2007 just fine. Does anyone know if this is a known issue or if there is an option in Word 2007 that needs to be enabled? I really need help with this ASAP.     - WORD won;t save when Outlook is open I am using Word XP (2002) - if I have Outlook open as well - if I try to save a document - Word just shuts down without saving. If I reopen WORD then the second time around I can save the document. If I don't have Outlook open then this problem goes away.     - Woord 2007 locks when changing fonts.... I just received Vista Ultimate and Office 2007 Pro at the Launch last week in Detroit and installed them with no apparent problems. I wnet to play with Word 2007 and typed in some text and wanted to change the font. I moved my cursor up to the ribbon and went to change the font and it locked on me and told me that it has had an issue. i closed it down and ran the diagnostics for Office and it found one issue and it fixed it.     - XP Office Pro Word needs to close error I have Win Xp Pro and Office XP Pro Suite. I only get the shut down when I open word. Excel, Access, all the other apps are fine. I dont even have to have a doc opened. Error message is "Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Recover my work and resart word " has a check in the box. Sent the error report and got back that office updates might help. They didnt. I uninstalled the suite and reinstalled. Still not working.     - Word updates causing problems My computer came with Microsoft Office already installed on it, but now when it automatically runs an update, it asks for the serial number for the software to work. My computer is over a year old, and we do not have the boxes laying aorund any more, there are no stickers on the computer, nothing.     - Word 2002 - embedded hyperlinks inactive after video game install Hi all: I'm new to the forum. Hope you can help. I am a teacher who uses and writes Astronomy activities and lesson plans for high school use and for enjoyment by anyone around the world, using MS Word 2002. Inside my MS Word docs, I have an embedded hyperlink that relative links to a Windows shortcut file on my hard drive. The shortcut launches another application (an Astronomy simulation program). When a reader clicks on the embedded hyperlink in the MS Word document, it activates the shortcut (installed in a specific place on their computer), which in turn, launches the Astronomy program. It works great and flawlessly ... on hundreds of computers that have run the Activities! That is, until I or anyone else installs a video game ... any video game ... on their computer. As soon as they do so, that hyperlink to that Windows shortcut inside the MS Word document no longer works. Clicking on it does nothing. I have NO IDEA why installing a video game should have any impact at all on how MS Word activates hyperlinks inside its documents. It makes no difference if I have MS Word open or closed when installing the game. The effect is the same. The video game also does not have to be running for the effect to happen. What is really weird is that this seems to be strictly an MS Word problem. The Windows shortcut file itself still works fine if I click on it separately (outside of the Word document). It launches the app without problems. Stranger still, the video game has no impact on how MS Word launches hyperlinks to the web. They work fine. It is only launching a Windows shortcut or a hyperlink to another application that seems to be the problem. Worse, uninstalling the video game does not remove the problem. I actually have to "system restore" using the Windows XP restore feature, to a time before I installed the video game. Then ... the MS Word hyperlink works again just fine. It also is not confined just to my system. I've had at least 20 other students/users around the world report the same effect on their computers. ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated!!!     - Flickering Footer Hi, I have created a document which is in portriat orientation, but inlcudes several pages in the middle which are in landscape. I have separated the landscape section by using 'Next Page' section break. I have also stopped the header and footer in the landscape section from linking to the previous section in portrait. The problem I now encounter which I have experienced before in Word is that when I try to autofit the footer to the width of the section in landscape it develops a flicker. The footer flickers from being portrait width to landscape width and I have been unable to stop by fixing the width of the footer as well.     - Save Every Senctence or Loose Document (Error OE: 014F) If I am typing a long document, I have to save, save, save about every sentence or else I lose everything. This window pops open telling me that something has finished scanning for errors and on the blue bar at the top it does a countdown. I am now trying to update the page and when I try to put a new hyperlink in the table it gives me a problem.     - Saving error - file is currently in use. Try again later. Since installing Office 2007 when I try to save changes to an existing document, I now get the error '\\Server\Shared\file name.docx is currently in use. Try again later.     - Problem printing document Hi I am having aproblem printing a Word document on an XP machine using Word 2002 SP3. The document is accessed from a link on a web page, if you click on it you get the open/save box. If you choose open, the document opens ok. If you then try to print it, it freezes Word and you do not get your print. The only way to do it is to uncheck the "background printing" box in the options tab. Can anybody explain why?     - Revision History Removed Error Hello everyone, We're using Word 2003 SP2 and a user with a document that was heavily formatted with track changes recently got this error when trying to open it: (in a show repairs window) Errors were detected in this file, but Word was able to open the file by making the repairs listed below. Save the file to make the repairs permanent. Internal Data Integrity (Type 4) 1 Revision data removed 1 When you try to 'Go To' the error, it tells you the bookmark was not found.     - Word 2003 keeps saying it crashed last time it was opened Hi! I'm using Office 2003 SP2 on a Windows 2003 R2 terminal server. Every second time a user opens Word he/she is prompted that "Word failed to start correctly last time". "Do you want to start Word in safe mode?" To my knowledge Word hasn't crashed or shown any signs of problems so I'm a bit puzzled. I've tried to rename "normal.dot" to something else to generate a new template. I've also tried reinstallating and repairing the installation with a subsequent reboot but it doesn't resolve the problem. Opening Word with the "/a" switch makes no difference either.     - Word 2007 does not open/save to Novell mapped network drive on Vis I'm currently running a test PC in our office with Windows Vista Business, Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise Edition and Novell Client Technology Preview release for Windows Vista. When I've tried to open any Word document from a Novell mapped network drive (such as my H:/drive after I've logged in using the Novell client) I keep getting "access denied. Contact your administrator." This happens in other Office 2007 applications as well. I've tried changing the trusted locations and added the network H:/drive there but still nothing. a sincere thank you to Terry. I have been using Office 2000 xp and 2003 for
4+ years and never before had these things appeared. your link helped explain
some things.
