I reformatted my computer and now when I try to open Microsoft Office word
processor I get the message that there is a missing or renamed file. It
suggests that I reinstall Office but when I try with my disk I can't figure
out how to without reformatting my computer again. I don't have a "repair"
option. Any suggestions? I run XP and have the reboot disk that came with
my computer.

Go to the Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and select Microsoft Office and
click on Change. One of the options will be REPAIR.
