I have Microsoft Word on my computer and have used it for
a long time. I think someone has used my computer and
now I am having problems.
When I try to go into Word, I receive the following error
message..
The feature you are trying to use is on a CD ROM or other
removable disk that is not available. Please insert
the "Microsoft Word 2002 Disk" and click OK.

Why is this happening???

Has someone removed something from my computer ?

HELP!!!!!

Microsoft word problem by Sheryn

Beth, I think the problem is something else. I am a
consultant, and 3 (so far) of my clients are having the
same problem. It is ONLY Office 2000 to date. It ONLY
appeared as a problem on computers that did not have the
blaster patch applied. Even after running fixblast and
applying the patch, it is still a problem. Yes we tried
to feed it the CD. But it says it is the wrong CD. Any
other ideas??? Thanks.

To add some info to this problem. The same message occurs
during a file search in windows explorer - no connection
to word... The message actually comes from the "Windows
Installer".

Sheryn, as far as I can tell, the blaster worm fix keeps you from getting
the virus, it does not clean the virus off your system. You have to use your
Virus protection for that.
I was able to update my virus protection, but couldn't apply the patch, I
kept getting the darn thing over and over. Once I had the patch, my virus
software had no problem nabbing and erasing the bugger.
