When I print in Word 2003, the envelope prints using
characters like this: !#$&#(!)

Does anyone know how to solve this? I'd appreciate some
advice. Thank you

Is this an intermittent problem or a consistent one? Sometimes it means that
you've selected the wrong printer driver with output still pointed to a
specific printer port (for example, when I used to have two printers sharing
a parallel port, with a mechanical switch to choose between them,
occasionally I'd send a document intended for the DeskJet to the LaserJet
instead and get some very strange--and usually very voluminous--results).

No, it's a consistent problem and it doesn't happen when
I'm printing letters, only envelopes.

Penny

Check the Envelope Address Style and make sure that there is nothing amiss
with its formatting, especially the font and language settings.
