I am experiencing the same problem. I have tracked it down to being
an old word document version. (version 1.0 or 2.0). We have an older
report generator that creates reports that users running office 2003
sp3 or office 2007 can't open. These are the same files that my users
with windows mobile devices can't open as they receive the error in
the above post. There is a registry change that can be made to fix
office 2k3 sp3 and 2k7 but i haven't found a solution for the mobile
devices other than opening it on their PC, saving it as a .rtf and
then syncing it back to the device. If anyone has a better way i
would love to know what it is.
