If you deleted the documents and then used a recovery program to get them
back then unfortunately there is nothing else that can be done. It's not
that they in another language (well...they technically they are...) but what
you are seeing are those documents that have had part of the file
overwritten and the file is now lost - there is nothing to recover.
When you delete a file it's not actually deleted, which is why you were able
to recover them, the file contents remains on disk until another file
happens to overwrite it which is what happened to those files you're unable
to view correctly.
