I have somehow lost the "Insert", "Format" and "Tools" Commands (i.e. which
open the respective Menus) from the top of the screen in Word 2000.

The Knowledge Base suggests I could probably reset the Commands and Toolbars
if I could get into the Tools Menu - but that is one of the Commands that
has disappeared, so I can't access the Tools Menu!

Any help gratefully received.

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm

For future reference, though, note that there are numerous ways to get to
the Customize dialog; Tools | Customize is just one of them. Here are some
others:

1. View | Toolbars | Customize...

2. Right-click on any toolbar or menu and choose Customize...

3. Double-click on the empty area of any toolbar.

4. Click on the arrow at the end of any toolbar, choose Add or Remove
Buttons, then Customize...
