How can I position an image on the page where I want it? It seems an
inserted image is inserted according to the paragraph style etc. What do I
do if I want the image in a certain position?

Hi Dave,

After inserting the picture, select it then choose Format|Picture|Layout and
change the setting from 'In Line With Text' to 'Square' or 'Tight'. Then
you'll have access to the 'picture position' options under 'Advanced', or
you can just drag the picture around with the mouse.

Cheers

BRILLIANT - THANKS A LOT! That's been upsetting me for a long time. I am
now going to go through every option on every menu beccause there's still
loads of stuff which I think can be sorted out like that - especially all
the "autocorrect/format" stuff which all needs turning off!
