Hi
the sevice "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)" is an independence service & it
must be operating at all times. If it's not, you have to make it automatic
start & restart it again. If it doesn't start, you may need to restore the
system to the time that there was no problem. If this doesn't help, you have
a core problem & you need to fix the installation of the system with booting
the system with windows cd-rom.

To re-enable the disabled RPC service.

Start the RPC Service
1. Click Start, Run, Type in: services.msc
2. Double-click Remote Procedure Call (RPC).
3. In the Startup type dialog box, click Automatic, click OK, and then restart your
computer.

NOTE: If the RPC Service is disabled, you may need to use the Recovery Console.

How to install and use the Recovery Console

1. Type the following command: Enable RPCSS Service_Auto_Start
2. Press the Enter key
3. Type: exit
4. Press Return
The computer will now restart.
