Hi there,
On my XP Pro machine how can I enable the print spooler in the tray to
see how my print job is doing or to cancel it ? Used to be on windows
2000.
Thank you, T

Printing notifications are set in the Print Server Properties. Right
click on Printers and Faxes, Open, File, Server Properties, Advanced.

Hi there,
Still even if I check everything on the machine I do not get the
printer icon in the tray so I can manage the document whereas on the
W2K machine wih only the "Log spooler error events" an "Log spooler
warning events" checked I get that. What should I do? Thanks a lot, T

A "printer icon" that "resides" in the Notification area continuously is
there because the printer driver you are using put it there. There is
not normally an icon there EXCEPT when a job is spooling or some other
issue is needing attention.

Hi Bob,
This is exactly the case, when spooling there is no printer icon even
momentarilly. There is the spooling, printer icon in the status bar of
the application when printing(Word, IE, etc) but no printer icon in
the tray to manage the job afterwards. Thanks, T

Perhaps Restore the taskbar to default?
