microsoft.public.word.newusers

Click on the newsgroups icon and enter "word" in the Display Newsgroups That
Conain: box. If you still don't see any groups, refresh the list of
newsgroups by clicking the Reset List button and you should see all of them.
There are dozens in English alone.

Since you did not state your issue, try microsoft.public.word.newusers. The
folks there can redirect you based on your concerns.

As Gordon and Colin mentioned, there are many Word groups on this news
server. Make sure you have the All tab selected.

But I would imagine those groups are for using Word's specific features
(e.g., mail merge, etc.). In your case, you seem to have a general
question related to the operating system (i.e., it takes a long time to
load this program, so you might as well post here. :-)

Scroll down to "word" and click to load.
