i have a new vostro 1400 which came with widcomm bluetooth stack. my
blackberry phone is not compatible and i have to remove the widcomm driver
and let xp take over. however, it doesnt look like xp supports bcm2045
(bluetooth hardware) on its own. does anyone know?

Do you have Service Pack 2 install? Microsoft's Bluetooth drivers
exists in Service Pack 2 and is more limited than the Widcomm
(Broadcom) drivers.

> yes, sp2 installed. this hardware is new from broadcom and i suspect sp2 does not have drivers which support it. does anyone know?
