I have got hold of another desktop which has got Windows XP, which I use all
the time but with this other machine it came with a copy of Vista Hom
Premium. My question is how long should it take to install as when I started
to install it said it would take up to 6 hours to install, Can anyone tell
me if that is rightplease?

Are you installing XP? That shouldn't take but a part of an hour. If the
Vista bit is correct, try asking in the Vista group.

Windows XP or Windows XP Pro?
Normally either one will take about an hour assuming retail media and a
Clean Installation.
An upgrade to Windows Vista will usually take signifficantly longer.
If you are using media provided with the computer by the manufacturer,
installation time depends on exactly how the OEM has set it up and you
should contact them for details.
