My computer will just lose the connection that my wireless USB adapter
provides. This is a desktop and I connect through a wireless modem/router.
It's in one room, my desktop is in another. Now most times whether I turn
the computer off or hibernate, when it comes back on so will my wireless
connection. But sometimes, not often, but sometimes windows will load up and
not recognize my USB wireless adapter. Then I'll just unplug adapter then
plug it back in, windows will then see it and we're back in business. Lately
though, I can be *on* the computer and just lose my wireless connection. I'm
working and voila, it's just gone. I'll unplug and re-plug the adapter, and
it may be 5 minutes of repairing over and over before my connection will
come back. And I have a feeling even when it does come back...it was nothing
I did. I'd like to blame this on SP3, but I had this problem before I
installed it:-) I usually use the Netgear WG111T adapter, (I have 3
adapters) I use Network Magic for connection (desktop & laptop for
printing), and this is on an E-machine 2482.Oh...I never lose the connection
on my (Vista Premium) laptop...just this desktop.
