I've googled this a lot and there seems to be no real answers out there...

I recently attempted to uninstall AOL software... and now...

Whenever I startup my laptop I get 'Document viewer' wanting to install.
After failing, it then asks me to insert the document viewer cd rom. Which I
don't have because all my microsoft/windows applications were pre-loaded.

After hitting cancel on this, it retries another 2 times and then comes up
with a box from .NET telling me there was an exception and that an object
wasn't where it wanted to be one etc...

When looking in the event viewer I get 2 warning notes for Msi Installer -
event 1001 and event 1004.

How do I stop it???

Can I just find microsoft document viewer as a free download somewhere???

Thanks in advance

J,

Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility & remove the Document Viewer
entry

http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe

That should sort the problem for you
