Sorry, that was KB923689 not KB936929 (I typed the wrong one in my post).
Service Pack 3 has not been installed. However, a folder for Service Pack
3 downloaded in the Windows softwaredistribution folder, but nothing has
been installed with that. When I check the install history at Microsoft
Update I see that today I did indeed install "Security Update for Windows
XP with Windows Media Format Runtime 9.5 and 11 (KB941569)" and "Security
Update for Windows XP with Windows Media Format Runtime 9.5 (KB923689)".
SP3 still shows up at Microsoft Update for installation and that it has not
been installed yet.
The Windowsupdate log does show:
http://au.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/software/dflt/2008/04/windowsxp-kb936929-sp3-express-x86-enu_1b719f58c511d60ecfd5aa76904241723be30c9c.exe
to
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\fd0264849c01086f3c6b505dc02dbd44\WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-Express-x86-ENU.exe
(full file).
So, it downloaded something (I show 3 odd file names in that folder) on
7/18 but I did not install it. I'm wondering if I can delete that folder
since I don't plan on installing it at this time?
Sorry for my mistake in typing the KB#.
