Reboot and try immediately after the reboot.
Also shut dow all applications you usually have running in the background
(particularly any CD writing software you might have.)
If you installed the Intel® Application Accelerator , uninstall that as well
and reboot. Might want to disconnect from the Internet and temporarily
disable any antivirus/antispyware applications as well.
