heya.. its painstaking VISTA.... i have a dell inspiron 1520 with 2 gig ram
and all the usual configurations with a 1.83 processor..
yesterday nite automatic updates took place (windows malicious tool remover
in particular) and it all showed "important" so i downloaded them and
installed them.
But then today morning i tried booting my OS (vista home premium
32bit/preinstalled) it juss didnt progress tht stage...
i did some things mentioned in various sites like puttin the vista CD and
then restoring it, etc.. noting workd.. yes wht happend is tht the
configuring screen disappeared but then system still does not boot...
it juss shows the welcome screen n then the windows starting "noise" and a
BLANK SCREEN with the cursor in the middle... no matter wht key i press there
is no effect and i have waited for ages.. no change... the same happens in
SAFE mode except it has four safe mode tags in the corners and a "Microsoft
(R) Windows (R) (Build 6001:Service Pack 1) in the top centre of the
screen...
EVen if i press CRTl+ALT+DEL there is no effect and i dont get no options..
I have juss had a new hard drvie insertrd by a "dell technician" and this
happens 2 weeks aftr that...
PLEASE URGENT HELP NEEDED... WHAT SHALL I DO?????
