Oh gosh I have so many spyware programs and even bought the Lavasoft most
recent one and it is not expired .. anyway long story short .. I dismantled
it and also even SpyBot which I liked ... and have Hijack This too ... but
for heavens sake .. am spending enough on Norton 360 and seems that the cross
configuring of all of these programs confuses me more and more after years of
downloading and updating them. I wish I could just have one program do the
spyware as well as the viruses. I still can not update my Microsoft Updates
and I ran some Norton tool today to correct the registry in case a problem
occurred with the install of SP3 ... I don't think that is it. I have
Internet Explorer 8 Beta .. and I have MSN Messenger .. version 7 something.
It looks like I do not have Windows Live Messenger 8.5 ... I think it was
uninstalled and it was giving me problems ..
If I am getting no error message any longer with Microsoft update .. except
for some flash real quick message at the top about Active X installing .. but
then it disappears .. Is there a particular Active X download that I should
have to run Microsoft update. And why does my Internet Explorer Options
Advanced in the back not update my Java to the JRE 1.6.0_07 but instead just
stays at the JRE 1.6.0_05? Could that affect the Microsoft Update page?
Shoot this is exhausting. Sorry. My last Norton update and scans did not
come up with anything but I am wondering if the firewall needs to have the
Microsoft Update program configured into it. Norton never answers anything
easy and so I am sorry for asking it here. Please help if you can because I
am worried that without the Windows updates my whole system will be
vulnerable. Windows XP SP3 obviously with MSN Mail
