Updates don't install; no error code

I just installed XP Pro SP2 and set up auto update. I have downloaded 93
updates that are readt to install. When I try to install them using express
install, it appears that the installer is trying, but I get a result screen
tha says some of them wouldn't install and the list that is presented is all
of the updates I was trying to install. I have tried using the custom side of
the installer and only installing one update, but the results are the same,
it won't install and there is no error code to indicate why. I have tried
turning off virus protection and pest control while I attempt the
installation, but it did'nt help.

Anybody got any ideas?

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft Update, or by
using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP installation
