I just reinstalled Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit and I have installed all
updates just fine except one, KB947562 I have tryed to install it 8 times and
on each try I get ERROR CODE 8024200D. When I try the need help and Windows
Update Support Center and Microsoft Knowledge Base there is no Information on
this error code. Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Did you reboot the system and try the installation again ?
Or, download it from here and SAVE it:

x86 32 bit Vista
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=49AA7826-8543-4F24-8F88-46E454DF3063&displaylang=en

Once the download completes close all open browsers and programs.
*Right* click Windows6.0-KB947562-x86.msu and choose ' Run as
administrator'. Follow the prompts.
Did that get it installed ?

8024200D usually indicates the entire download of updates was not completed.

Don't know if it helped Brandon, but it did help me. Thanks for the tip :-)

This solution worked beautifully for me! I kept getting the error code
8024200D when trying to re-install Windows Vista Service Pack 1. This patch
at the link you recommended solved the problem and it updated like it was
supposed to.
Thank you!
