How to NOT get SP3 Update?

How do I configure WU so that it always hides the SP3 update?

Also answered three days ago - same newsgroup...

Sooner or later - if you stick with Windows XP - you will need it to get
future updates.

Registry Edit:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate

Right click > New > DWORD Value. Enter name as DoNotAllowSP. Double click
the newly created DWORD value and set the value data as 1.

If I go to SP3 will I still be able to use IE6? Or will I be forced to
use IE7? Right now IE7 is not even on my system XP Pro.

WinXP SP3 does not install IE7 nor is there an option to install it.
