I found that turning OFF the Data Execution Prevention program in
Vista, now allows HP's My Display software to work properly!
I turned Data Execution Prevention to OFF, execept for essential windows
services by going to control panel, click on system, click on system
protection, click advanced tab, click settings, click data execution
prevention tab, and finally click on "turn on DEP for essential Windows
programs..."
This problem of HP's My Display software not running, as well as several
other programs started only several months ago. So I guess that a security
update changed the DEP to always on for everything...so if any program would
want to run is not "compatible" with DEP it won't run...and the error message
won't tell you!
