When I try to fix the error code 0x80070005 with the Window Genuine Advantage
Diagnostic Tool, they said the error code 0x80070002 is a treat and couldn't
fix the 0x80070005. I try to fix the error code 0x80070424 but the code
0x80070005 stop me. Is there any ways to fix these problems.

We need to know "the rest of the story." Please see this page
http://dts-l.net/goodpost.htm then post back to this thread with the
information we'd need to be able to assist you properly.

It all started when I wanted to fix the window updates. Error 0x8007024
cause the window updates from working. Then I read that if you go to the
start button and click run. Then type Regsvr32 QMGR.DLL and press enter, but
failed because of Error 0x80070005. So I search and look for a way to get rid
of error 0x80070005. It lead me to this website
http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2006/09/04/739820.aspx and it didnâ??t
work and cause my recycle bin to be corrupted and share icons on all my
individual files. Then I use the Window Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool to
get rid of the 0x80070005 but it didnâ??t work. The error 0x80070002 is
stopping it form working. So is there a way to fix these problems, I would
really appreciate it.

The rest of the story also includes stating your Windows version, when
"window updates" stop working, what you'd done before it stopped working
(e.g., reinstall Windows), and if "window updates" ever worked.

My window version is vista x32. I stop working a week ago and I did nothing
to cause it from it just happened.

Judging from similar posts here in the past month or so, the behavior is or
may be due to a Vundo-ZLOB-SDBot infection, all of which is protected by a
rootkit.

Unexplained computer behavior may be caused by deceptive software

Run a thorough check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
