One of my XP SP2 Clients suddenly stopped updating via WSUS and cannot
manually update via windows update either - the page fails with the above
error code.

There are no software restriction policies in any GPO's for the whole domain.

There are no "Safer" reg entries in the following location
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\
SystemCertificates\TrustedPublisher

I renamed the WUWEB.dll to something else and even tried stopping the
automatic updates service and deleting everything in the C:\Windows\software
distribution folder and restarting the service.

I then went through every step in this article
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822798 but the computer is still refusing to
update!

Help!!
