I just did a clean install. I zero filled the HD and then also reset the
Bios.
installed Win XP pro 32 bit
manually installed some updates
installed AMD Processor driver

After that it no longer would accept anymore updates. They download but
failed everytime to install.

Someone take this driver off the site please!

Next time, get the driver from AMD.
Put in on a spare partition and load your drivers from there.

Hello Martin,

Go ahead and download Dial-ª-Fix.
<http://wiki.djlizard.net/Dial-a-fix>

Reboot into safe mºde (F-8)

Click the Double green checkmark and click Go.

After it has finished, Reboot

Try Windows Update and see if you can get your updates installed.

Let us know what hªppens.

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP
installation:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943144

NB: Also applies to clean installs, upgrade installs, and Recovery installs.
