The MBSA still claims the 951376 patch is missing.
Multiple manual installations of patch didn't help
to get away this mbsa warning.

However the windows events logs says after installation completed
"Windows XP Hotfix KB951376 was installed.".

The patch install log file has following content

If that is the *entire* log then the update is NOT installed as it's
missing the installation of the bluetooth files:

44.334: ProcessSetupContentSection: PROCESS_SETUP_CONTENT_OP_INSTALL:
Copied c:\92d9a5162e583a513f39a5\update\branches.inf ->
d:\windows\$hf_mig$\KB951376-v2\update\branches.inf.
44.715: Copied file: D:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\bthport.sys
44.745: Copied file: D:\WINDOWS\Driver Cache\i386\bthport.sys
44.875: Copied file: D:\WINDOWS\system32\DllCache\bthport.sys

Is KB951376 showing as listed in Add/Remove Programs in the Control
Panel ? [Make sure the 'Show updates' box is checked; look under
Windows XP - Software Updates]
If it is, then uninstall it and reboot the system, read on.
If it's not, read on ...

Download the update from here and *save* it:

Security Update for Windows XP (KB951376)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=980bb421-950f-4825-8039-44cc961a47b8&DisplayLang=en

When the download completes DISCONNECT any Bluetooth device from the
system. Close all open browsers and programs.
Now install WindowsXP-KB951376-v2-x86-ENU.exe and reboot the system.
Reconnect any Bluetooth devices.
Did that get it installed ?

Yes, it is.

No bluetooth devices used with the system generally.

All related MS patches always applied by manual download of
the installer files and manual installation procedure. Windows Update
not in use.

I'll try now to deinstall and install the patch.
But without disconnecting bluetooth devices because
no one connected to the system in generally.

Thanks for your hints.

Notice the name at the start of the log ... the one from your system shows

> [KB951376.log]

Mine shows

> [KB951376-v2.log]

Apparently, you installed the first Version of KB951376. It was revised
on June 19th, according to the Sec Bulletin:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms08-030.mspx

Look under 'Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Related to This Security
Update'. Suggest you redownload the update from the MS Download Center
or the MU Catalog in order to ensure this is the latest version.

The URL I provided is for V.2 from the MS D/L Center and you can enter
KB951376 as the search term for the MU Catalog, too:
http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx
