How to get SP3 on CD ???

When click on "...order SP3 on CD" at...

... there seems to be no direction for how to request the CD.
Suggestions ???

Try later and/or download the SP3 CD iso file in the meantime in case
you need the CD and you're on a broadband connection:

Downloaded SP3 and copied to CD.
CD seems ready to go when I am... after see if SP3 has any major
difficulties :)

To put it bluntly - it won't be SP3 with the issues, it will be individuals.
They will get attention and people will build on this attention as the many
people it worked fine for have no reason to post in groups such as this with
the same attitude/persistence. In other words - just like sitting in a
hospital emergency room - you will mostly only see the sick, those treating
the sick and those who got dragged along for the ride. ;-)

Just like most (all but SP1 for WIndows XP I think) SPs - once it is
released, it is not revised - so SP3 is unlikely to change. I have
installed it on many machines (100+) at this time with no ill effects.

That does not mean that your combination of hardware/software won't have
issues caused by a conflict in a particular driver, a particular piece of
software, etc. You should wait and see if anyone posts with troubles with
the hardweare and software you have installed in particular. Otherwise -
install it wisely - after backups, etc.

I can't find any link that offers SP3 on CD.
The link you provide is just the basic portal to Microsoft update.

I am on a dial up connection, and the prospect of downloading the
entire package is daunting.

Does anyone know if?when? MS will have SP3 on CD?

Please be patient and wait some days. The link will show up sometime.
SP3 isn't that essential than SP2 has been.

While I do appreciate the feedback, that link is for a CD image file,
which is 200mg larger than the complete SP3. The estimated time for
download is 22 + or - hours. I'd be ahead of the game if I just used
Windows Update.

What I want is an actual CD, as they did offer with SP2, whichI was
able to order way in advance of the release, and it was delivered the
same day SP2 was released.

But, as I said, I thank you for your interest and response.

Good advice. It really seems like I have no choice in the matter
anyway.

I hadn't planned on installing right away. I will keep an eye on this
forum for possible problems that seem to relate to my system,
hardware, software, etc.
