server 2003 std dual cpu missing one

The BIOS shows both cpus installed but the OS reports only one.
Does the OS need to be reinstalled?

Thanks however that does not talk about Xeons.
The Sys.Info does show:
Processor x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 9 GenuineIntel ~3056 Mhz

I guess reinstall.

Does the task manager show 4 CPUs?

In Device Manager under 'Computer' do you have an ACPI
multiprocessor PC listed, or does it say ACPI Uniprocessor PC?

Dell poweredge 1600sc.
There no specific BIOS switches Hyperthreading and ACPI.
I am going to wipe the machine and reload the OS.
The other 1600's have been loaded with no problems so,

It would seem to me that if your BIOS does not enable
hyperthreading, System Properties lists two CPUs, and you have a
multiprocessor HAL installed, you are utilizing both processors.

What leads you to think otherwise?

In Task Manager Performance, is the graph set to show one graph
per CPU?

Are you running current BIOS firmware?

cpu was displayed in the TM.
Are you running current BIOS firmware? YES
-After wiping the drive and install the OS again, we have a 4 cpu display in
the TM as expected.
