Hi all. I have a windows2003 server acting as a print server which shares out
many printers for my domain users to map. However recently there was a
motherboard failure and though i have a 4hours response contract for this
server, it took a whole day to recover the server. And for the whole day many
various department could not print to the respective printers. Hence my
question is what kind of contigency you guys have for such print server. Thks
in advance.

You could:
- create a VM print server
- use the print migrator utility to copy all printers and drivers to it,
whenever you add a new printer
- keep the VM with low resources or off
- when needed, swap it in and rename it.
