I agree it is nothing short of amazing that the machine would lose such
critical folders as system32. As best I can guess, it was an O&O Defrag
that went very bad.
If I have to recover individual files, then I agree with you rebuild is
quicker. I had hoped I could recover the entire folder, and that the
folder still has intact references to its files.
