IIS 6 Web Service is not running after windows 200 to 2003 r2 upgrade

I did an upgrade from windows 2000 adv sp4 to windows 2003 r2 during i
reported the IIS will be disconnected. After OS upgrade was done onl
the IIS 6 was refusing to restart. Any help would be appriciated

Refusing to restart? Have you tried checking the event viewer for any
errors?

The World Wide Web Publishing Service is exiting due to an error. Th
data field contains the error number.


The World Wide Web Publishing Service has terminated due to a Worke
process failure.
A process serving application pool 'DefaultAppPool' reported a failure
The process id was '4880'. The data field contains the error number
