I have Windows 2003 SBS. The Windows SBS backup (the one that comes with SBS
2003) won't run until I go into Scheduled Tasks and re-enter the password it
can use to run. I use the administrator account. The backup will run once
or twice, then stop again until I re-enter the password. There are no errors
in the event log. It doesn't even try to run. An error DOES appear in
scheduled tasks that the task couldn't run. I have deleted and re-configured
the backup, but it does the same thing.

No other scheduled tasks run, either - the server report, server data
collection. All of these are scheduled tasks. Why doesn't it remember the
account information?

Thanks!

Hi
Please try the following
*Delete C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-18\d42cc0c3858a58db2db37658219e6400_xxxx
*Delete the scheduled tasks then recreate them

Your suggestion enabled the backup task to run for a few days, but it's back
to it's old self again. The task cannot start - and it seems to have
something to do with the account it's using. I re-entered the administrator
password and I'm sure it will run for a few more days.
I did change the administrator password around this time, but I don't see
why I have to keep re-entering iin the scheduled task.

Thanks!
